Why Online Learning?
Online learning is becoming more prevalent in today’s educational world. The state of Michigan has even passed legislation requiring its students to take an online course as a graduation requirement. Progressive schools today are seeing the value and benefits of both offering and encouraging students to participate in online learning experiences.
Make Online Learning a Reality at Your School
There are several models of implementation of SUPAOnline courses within the context of the high school setting. Your school can select one of the following options:
- Make students aware of the course through promotional materials and direct them to the website to register and enroll in the class.
- Have your guidance department conduct a student information session to make students aware of the options and course offerings available to them through SUPAOnline. Guidance counselors can also provide assistance with the registration process during this informational meeting or a subsequent registration session.
- Allow instructional time (class period) and space (computer lab) during the normal school day for students to take an online course just as they would for a traditional classroom course.
